The most exciting Sony PSP accessory will reportedly debut September 2006. It is an add-on camera that will attach to the USB port and will do video as well. This will be a wonderful addition to the PSP. We already have the capability to store photos and share them with others. Being able to actually take pictures will be an exciting addition to an already amazing gadget.
The camera will also be used to facilitate Voice over IP chat, another exciting feature for the PSP. A software update that will support video and voice chat will be released at about the same time that the camera debuts. No word yet on how much this Sony PSP accessory will cost but no doubt most if not all PSP owners will want it.

Griffin Technology recently introduced a handy Sony PSP accessory called the RoadDock. This is for those times when you don't feel like holding on to the PSP yet you can still enjoy it. As the name implies, it's a docking station for the PSP when you're on the road. It is made to fasten to any headrest or seatback, even on airplanes so you or the kids can watch your video without having to actually hold on to the PSP. This would be great in the backseat of the car when there is more than one child.
The RoadDock sells for $29.99 and you can purchase it at griffintechnology.com. Other recent debuts for the PSP from Griffin Technology include the SmartShare, which is a headphone splitter with individual volume controls. It sells for $14.99 and is a great addition to the RoadDock. This Sony PSP accessory lets you share your music or movies with a friend yet you can control the volume individually. That's ideal for 2 kids in the backseat or for you and your seatmate on an airplane.
Griffin also brings an FM tuner to the Sony PSP accessory line-up that also doubles as a remote control. This new accessory slides onto the bottom of the PSP and is for sale on Griffin's website for $49.99.
A new camera with voice chat, a docking place and an FM radio. These are exciting new accessories. Who would have ever thought that a portable game player could do so much? Actually, its wonderful there's finally a product on the market that will allow us to add to the purchase we've already made instead of having to replace it. There have been rumors of a PSP2 with an integrated camera but no news from Sony on the matter. But that's ok. We like the add-ons and we're looking forward to trying out each new Sony PSP accessory.
